Authenticity Guarantee

Every card we supply is checked in hand in Tokyo before it leaves Japan. If a card we supply turns out to be counterfeit or altered, we refund it in full.

What we check

  • Every card: an in-hand authenticity check in Tokyo is included in our sourcing fee. There is no separate charge.
  • Cards bought through Japanese marketplaces (for example SNKRDUNK, Mercari or Yahoo! Auctions) also pass that platform's own authentication before they reach us.
  • Graded cards: we check the certification number against the grading company's database and inspect the holder.

Our guarantee

If a card we supply is found to be counterfeit or altered, we refund the card price and our sourcing fee in full, and we cover the cost of the authentication.

How to make a claim

  1. Contact us within 14 days of delivery with clear photos of the card (front, back and the seal or holder).
  2. We review the photos. If it is clear, we start the refund straight away.
  3. If not, you return the card to us, fully insured. We compare it with our pre-shipment records and have it checked by an authentication service of our choice.
  4. If the card is confirmed counterfeit or altered, we refund the card price and fee to your original payment method. If it is confirmed genuine, we return it to you, and the authentication fee and return shipping are charged to you.

What we record before shipping

  • Graded cards: the certification number and photos of the holder from every side.
  • Raw cards: high-resolution photos of the front and back, the four corners and the edges, and the centering. We seal the sleeve with a numbered tamper-evident seal. We never mark the card itself.
  • Every parcel: a video of the packing. Every parcel ships insured and needs a signature on delivery.

Raw cards over ¥1,000,000

For raw (ungraded) cards priced at ¥1,000,000 or more, we hand over the card in one of two ways:

  • Video-call unboxing: we ship the card fully insured, and you open it with us on a video call. You confirm on the call that it matches our photos, and we keep a recording.
  • In-person handover in Tokyo: if you are visiting Japan, we can hand the card to you in person at an agreed location. Payment is completed beforehand.

What is not covered

  • Claims made more than 14 days after delivery.
  • Cards that do not match our pre-shipment records, or raw cards whose seal has been broken. This does not apply to cards opened during a video-call unboxing.
  • Differences of opinion about condition or grade. We send you photos of the card before you pay.
  • Damage after delivery.
